ISO-Containers at PDI Bulk
PDI Bulk’s ISO-container business started in Ontario. The investments we have made to date are depicted below. It is our full intention of expanding this service Pan Canada throughout our network of terminals. We are already handling ISO’s in Vancouver, Calgary, Ontario, and Quebec. Our intention is to build our infrastructure where applicable to better service the market using PDI Bulk’s full service methodology.
PDI Bulk’s Victoria Road Liquid Terminal is ideally situated to handle ISO containers for both import and export work. This facility is located 20 miles from the greater Toronto area. Due to our strategic location and un-rivaled infrastructure PDI Bulk has made significant investments into this market.
ISO-CONTAINERS
Our empty container handler is capable of stacking 20’ and 40’ containers up to 5 high. PDI Bulk’s chassis are custom built with super single tires / axles to save weight. PDI Bulk is able to handle 2 x 20’ ISO containers with net weight of 20,000 kg. Obviously this saves trucking time / costs
We built a clean room for inspections of ISO containers. This is a food grade indoor white room with steam, nitrogen, and dry air. The facility also houses a fiber optic camera system that is on our network and provides digital pictures to a server. These are then loaded into our document management system which is accessible by our customers through our web-site by order number. All documentation including the bill of lading, inspection form, customer order, etc is available as well. We will have oversees customers signing into our web-site and viewing interior inspections before the ISO’s arrive at their facilities.
Our Capabilities Include:
- Trucking: loaded, empty. Delivery includes pump / air off-load. Drivers are trained on chemical bulk and have pumps, compressors on PDI Bulk trucks.
